This is a charming and unique area, the forest and heathland hunting grounds of Henry VIII . People are drawn here from all over the world because of the beautiful scenery, villages and houses, progressive schools and numerous organic farms. It’s a health conscious and alternative area. For example, the village of Forest Row has many interesting shops – an organic bakery, an art gallery, a macrobiotic deli and an apothecary to name but four – many excellent cafes, three organic farms, a beautiful golf course, and wonderful Indian, Chinese and of course English restaurants. It’s often possible to visit local fairs and perhaps end the day with a quality jazz performance in one of the pubs. And this is just scratching the surface…
